Current/Completed Activities:

An ASEAN-OSHNET homepage with hyperlinks to national OSHNET homepages containing information on the following:

• OSH standards
• expertise and available services
• information on available programme, curriculum and projects
• OSH statistics
• case studies on major/unusual cases
• information on OSH administration and legal framework
• where relevant and appropriate, lessons learned from OSH-related accidents and illnesses including HIV/AIDS, SARS, Avian Flu, etc.

An ASEAN-OSHNET Newsletter (to also upload on the ASEAN-OSHNET homepage).

Proposed Activities for 2004-2007

• Regional experience sharing activity to facilitate compatible systems of collecting and compiling OSH statistics, and to prepare guidelines on standardising reporting systems. (ILO to be approached as a potential donor)
• Continue publication of an ASEAN-OSHNET Newsletter;
• Establishment of an ASEAN-OSHNET forum on the regional website (as an e-linked community of OSH practitioners);
• Collaboration with other networks/ programmes (e.g. linkages with the ILO’s Comprehensive Information Systems or ILO-CIS).
