Proposed Activities for 2004-2007

- Designated focal points in each ASEAN country specifically addressing the OSH aspects of GHS, and facilitation of information-sharing among this core group of experts at meeting which could be held back-to-back with scheduled Coordinating Board Meetings in future (to save time and cost).
- Activities addressing:
- harmonisation (or mutual recognition) of competency/skills standards (staring from the simpler trades most relevant to OSH (e.g. forklift safety, scaffolding);
- harmonisation of OSH statistics reporting systems; and developing a common ASEAN approach or guidelines to addressing commitments to the Stockholm Convention provisions on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).
